Max Payne 3 preview

Bye bye Remedy, hello Rockstar which makes its entrance on the Max Payne franchise for this third chapter, originally scheduled for the winter 2009 and finally postponed to March 2012 on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC; in Europe and America.

Taking control over the license, Rockstar intends to renew it with what they do best cynical but iconic heroes plunged in dark stories. "We're starting a new chapter of Max's life with this game," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "This is Max as we've never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation."

This time the action takes place in Sao-Paulo. Still haunted by the memories of his traumatic past, Max left New-York and accept a job in Brazil; ensuring security for a billionaire and his family. When this family is targeted by gangs, Max has to fight to protect them, clear his name and, once for all get ride of all his demons.

Here is the first trailer, just released by Rockstar with images taken directly from the game, as they are used to it. Dang! There's still quite a time before March 2012!
